This simple, refreshing dessert is a great end-of-the-summer treat for gatherings of your friends and family before the rush of fall activities.
Frozen Strawberry Dessert
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream....softened
1 package thawed frozen strawberries
1- 8 oz. can crushed pineapple....drained
1 angel food cake
1- 12 oz carton Cool Whip
Pull cake apart into small pieces and mix together with softened ice cream in large bowl. Mix in pineapple and strawberries. Fold in cool whip. Spread into 9x13 casserole dish and freeze. For serving purposes, take dessert out of freezer at least 10 minutes before serving for easier cutting.
